Do you have any idea how long a lawsuit actually takes? It can be years, and even then you might not get the money owed for a few years after. Craig has already said they're investigating legal recourse against CC but if you expect that any of that money would arrive in a timely manner to save the project then you are exceedingly delusional. Taking new pre-orders is probably the only logical option they had to survive, it was either that or halt production entirely until, years later, they finally get their compensation from CC, and by then it is way too late.they choose to make us assume the errors of CC.
all happened as if CC were legally untouchable. they failed and this is for customers to suffer the consequences of their errors either by paying more than initially, or by waiting until newer customers have all their unit, or by cancelling order.
it is logical, isn't it..?
