I'd like to collect up all iCP/iCade supporting apps with correct links.
** Here is the list: http://www.icontrolp.../compatibility/ **
I'm not 100% sure of the best way to link to Cydia, and Roberts emulator pages don't always link to the app.
I'd be most grateful if we can work together and post link here so we can make a list which we can also feature on the iControlpad website.
Thanks,
Craig

Great stuff, there are a lot of apps coming so I'll make a nice page with screen shots for the official site, or maybe we can make it here too if the formatting of posts allows it?

Presumably the Atari iCade app works too?
Also with Android anything supporting a keyboard will work, so it opens up dozens more emulators and apps.

Added a couple of Maemo emulators which I've tested before. I'm charging up my N900 to see if I can find some more compatible titles. The clamps don't fit the N900 but it's good with TV-out.
If I manage to get hold of an Android phone, I'll do some testing on it, too.
Edit: Just loaded up my GoG.com DX1 files into DX1 Rebirth ( That's Descent 1 for those who don't know ) and am playing it on my N900 using the dual analogue. It's absolutely awesome. Although, as usual, extremely difficult to control- such is the nature of Descent.
I feel I might be the only person who cares about using the iControlPad with the N900, though.

As been mentioned in other threads, Atari's Greatest Hits doesn't seem to want to work right now (could possibly be looking for a BT keyboard specifically named 'iCade'?). There is another game listed as currently having iCade support from the iCade website ( http://www.ionaudio....s/details/icade ) called Ironstar Arena. I can't confirm that it works, however, since the free version and reviews for the full version suggest that it is an awful game. While the full version might work with the iControlpad in iCade mode, I'm not even sure we should mention it. It's really bad. But hey, maybe that's just me.

I just tried Ironstar Arena, didn't work, and it's an awful game anyway.
Oddly enough, though, Atari's game DID work. I can confirm that I failed miserably at missile command. I don't know how we should proceed with this one, as my findings contradict those of others.

Also with Android anything supporting a keyboard will work, so it opens up dozens more emulators and apps.
Does those count too? I've already tried Vice (C64) and Gensoid (Genesis/MegaDrive)

I would be happy to list them, as long as they have configurable key bindings- for obvious reasons. Saying "anything that supports keyboards" is all well and good, but doesn't quite hit home like a comprehensive list.

Short answer - Yes they do.I would be happy to list them, as long as they have configurable key bindings- for obvious reasons.
Long Answer - Bluez IME allows you to bind iControlPad to any key event supported by android (including actions like volume up or back key). Unfortunately this doesn't include F1-F12 which would be useful in commodore.
Second mapping is done on application level. Gensoid allows to freely map any key to any button on genesis pad (even on two pads)
In vice's menu there's only option for joystick mapping. Other keys are passed directly, so on the Bluez IME level you can configure additional buttons (and nubs!) for useful keys like enter/return, space, Y and N (games with trainers included

Thanks for the comprehensive explanation. I really need to get an Android handset to try this stuff out for myself. Sometimes an iPhone isn't enough!

We've added iCade support to our game Sideways Racing:
A video of us playing using an iCade:
We'll be adding iControlPad support as soon as we have them to test with (ordered 2 a couple of days ago!). It's an iPad game, but we may add iPhone support in the future, which of course would make more sense when played with the iControlPad.

Wow! Just purchased your app, really fun game! I grew up playing top down racers, this is fantastic!
So if I was able to put my iCP into "iCade Mode", would this game work with iCP? Or do we need to wait until this dev adds the native iCP support?
