I received two ICPs yesterday and with both I have the same problem.

I use them with a non-jailbroken iphone in iCade mode. Pairing works and when I put the cursor in a text field each button press produces exactly two letters. So far so good.

Unfortunately no game I tried works. In "League of Evil" and "iMAME" when I press "down" on the dpad once, from then on it perpetually keeps registering the "down" key and some other button, so that the game automatically cycles between the main menu and the statistics menu. iMAME behaves the same. In Super Mega Worm Lite the ICP does not work at all.

I tried the preinstalled firmware and v2.0. I also reset the network settings of my iphone multiple times.

Any ideas?

I finally solved my problem. Maybe my solution will help other people, too.

When I read the review of a different phone gamepad it was casually mentioned, that it only works with the standard keyboard set to English. So I changed my default Keyboard from "German (Germany)" to "English" and voila, it works!
