I wrote a little about this in the GTA III thread, but I think this deserves it's own thread as this program will easily increase the usefulness of the ICP by 100 times over, if not more.
Basically, it's a small program written by Matthias Ringwald (of BTStack fame) that allows you to map cordinates for touch screen presses to buttons on the iCade controller. I just bought it and it works great with the ICP in iCade mode. They mentioned that they would work on native ICP support in future versions and asked what controllers everyone was interested in most. Everyone should send him a ping on twitter and show your love for ICP. Hopefully we will be able to use the analog sticks for just about every game in the App store before too long. Either way, with just ICade mode support working right now, the amount of games that are now possible to play with the ICP just went from a few dozen to a few thousand. These are very exciting times.
Everyone with an iPhone and an ICP should go grab Blutrol from Cydia right now. It's the best $7 you can spend.

Thanks! I was on the fence about buying it until I was sure it would work with iControlpad! Let's see if I can finally get Super Crate Box to work!

Great news and I don't have an iCP to hand to try it!
Matthias told us about this about a year ago, I honestly didn't think we would see it, yet here it is!
Let us all know how you get on.

Yes, I am a big fan of his work, but he surely does work on his own time table, doesn't he? :-D I'm glad I didn't know this program was in the works a year ago, I would have driven myself crazy waiting for it.
I am having some issues. Controls seem to stop responding every several seconds then a few seconds later will start working again. My first thought it it might be the battery in the ICP, so I am going to let it charge overnight and see if that resolves things. I haven't really had much of a chance to test it besides that. I will look at it more tomorrow to see if I can get it working perfectly.

I just had a thought. Imagine the impact this will have on apps running on the Apple TV. With Steve Troughton-Smith's recent work on getting apps working there, the obvious downside is that there is no touch based controls available once you get apps running. But with this program an an ICP, that's no longer an issue. Just about every app available for the iPhone/iPad will be available to play on the big screen TV using an Apple TV and an ICP. Exciting times, indeed.

So hyped about this! Bought my icontrolpad just because this was something that was a possibility and now it's happened! So excited to finally play double dragon the way it should be played.. with physical controls!
I bought the tweak straight away, but I'm having trouble getting it working. Followed the tutorial EXACTLY, started my icp in icade mode (I know that it works bc in notepad the controlpad and buttons produce letters as well as imame4all recognizing that an "icade" is connected), but the games just wont register my icp's button presses.
El Nacho, do you have any prp-tips on getting this to work? You seem to be the only person that's gotten it to work perfectly with the icp!
EDIT: Nevermind, I got it and its working BEAUTIFULLY!! Tip for anyone else out there who gets this, the program reads exactly how the ipod is orientated. The reason it wasnt working for me is because I had it laying flat and the blutrol read it as portrait. I just tilted it up against my monitor and it worked perfectly!
So next we need an icp screenshot with a map layout so that we know which buttons correspond to what! Maybe I'll do a crude one really quick to post here until someone does a better one.
ICP ROCKS!

Ok, I know we shouldn't double post but I didn't want this to get lost in the edits already in my first post.
The mapping for the buttons on Blutrol are as follows:
0 - L Button
5 - Start Button
6 - B Button
7 - Select Button
8 - Y Button
9 - R Button
E1 - A Button
E2 - X Button
Happy Gaming!

Thought I'd report back on how well this works. For things like platformers and arcade games, it works *very* well. Sonic CD plays beautifully! Really very impressed, hardly any lag at all.
For any games that use a virtual nub (or at least all the ones I tried), it really doesn't work very well currently. The problem is that most of those games depend on change in position of your thumb, rather than specific areas being pressed. Any game that uses a virtual D-pad work fantastically, though.
EDIT: Death Rally is just awesome using this.

I can't get the app to work. :/ I tried following all of the steps but when I press any button it it just goes in one direction. Can anyone make icp directions? I am not sure what's the problem

I was thinking the same thing, Native iCP compatable apps working on the ATV2, Now I'm really thinking about Downgradeing my iPad 2 back down to 4.3.3 so I can use BluTrol on my games, I upgraded when Pod2g said to then 2 days later he says he is having A5 issues, hopping the "Dream Team" comes up with something soon?

I think I found the problem to blutrol not working correctly. I upgraded my icp to the newest test firmware, whichever one has two icade boot modes. Blutrol does not work correctly when the icp is booted in A+X+Y but when I try A+B+X it works fine. I can't remember what the differences are or if that is the reason why it was acting strange. Anyhow, works great now
