Hey guys, one last problem that deserved a new thread. for whatever reason, when I make changes to my desktop: icon size, icons on the desktop, etc., they do not save upon bootup of a new session.

Also, if there are more icons on the desktop than the screen shows, how you do see the rest?

sorry for such a noob question but this has been puzzling me for months

I'm running:
Beta 3
Kernel 3.2
Super Zaxxon 1.5

Thanks!

Look for "Save for future sessions" in the shutdown dialogue. It's just a tick box and should save your session settings before shutting down. I used to have similar issues sometimes and that got me out of it. After the next boot I usually untick the box because the settings would then stick. Try it out. It might do the trick.
