Update: New v2.1 BETA firmware is available here: http://boards.openpa...t-firmware-v21/ - this includes improvements to the analogue sticks, plus a new button combination for showing the soft-keyboard in iCade mode on an iPad or iPhone.

New in 2.0 : Full iCade support, and mapping support for iPhone MAME.

iOS users: you're going to want to update to this version so you can use your iControlPad with App Store apps which support the iCade.

Android/Other users: you can wait for the next revision if there's nothing wrong with your iControlPad.

Not really, unless you just want to see how the upgrade is done.

Oh great and wonderful mods, can this firmware be stickied, replacing the older firmware thread? Thank you.

Perhaps you should do it.

Hi Guys,

Include this flasher for Mac Leopard 10.4+ from Rakashazi from this post http://boards.openpa...dpost__p__50531, since running the official one returns the following error, since it is built for Snow Leopard+

dyld: unknown required load command 0x80000022
Trace/BPT trap

or atleast this post will help those, since have included the error, google should direct here!

Regards,
Santhosh R.

Done. I reckon this file should be included in the firmware update package, but I can't change that myself.

Thanks.

I'm trying to update the firmware of my iControlpad to 2.0, but I'm not sure at which firmware it currently is (so it might already be at 2.0). Either way, flashing isn't working. I'm using the built-in bluetooth of a Macbook 13" running OSX Lion.

When trying to flash the iControlpad using MacOSX Terminal, I get the following feedback:

iControlPad firmware updater 1.1 by Robert BrogliaLoaded 18492 byte firmware...

Starting Bluetooth scan...

#1: address: 00-06-66-42-3a-3b, name: iControlPad-3A3B

Using this device...

Connecting to 00-06-66-42-3a-3b...

Error opening channel

Any idea what I might be doing wrong?

**UPDATE**

I've tried flashing the 2.1 beta and this did work, so probably it was all due to the iCP already being on 2.0. Sorry guys and thanks :)

I'm thinking of making a 2.4 with just a single update which is to prevent people from holding the power button down long enough to power up,time out and power down all before they figure out what is going on. I didn't think that would be possible but it has happened more than once. :)

Any chance of icade + support, I just made that up but it would be the new icade layout + 8 extra buttons (nubs directions) for use with emulators so I don't need to keep jumping & repairing my ICP every time I want to use an emulator & I know I can issue icade, but it lacks the buttons :(

Also in theĀ  Blutrol for iPhone - add controls to any app! I created a diagram for the two layouts, so people know what's what.

Rocky5: What do you mean jumping and repairing your iCP? I have problems connecting in SPP mode, it connects but buttons presses don't work. icade mode works great but like you said no nub support.
