Hi,

I am trying to use the Xterm terminal with a larger font, but nothing seems to work.

I tried xterm -fn and it is "Unable to load any usable ISO8859 font"

If I just run Xterm alone with 'xterm' it gives "Warning: Cannot convert string "nil2" to type FontStruct"

I searched around the net and some are suggesting installing some kind of font package.

The thing is I need a portable solution (something that would work in a PND on every ones Pandora)

SuperZaxxonB2

Any ideas?

Thanks!

From IRC :

[12:04] {sebt3|work} Cloudef: do you remember the X11 command you gave me to fix my ogre problem ?
[12:05] {sebt3|work} mcobit: I know I told you that ^^^ do you remeber (I do have a note but not available from here)
[12:16] {Cloudef} sebt3|work: xset +fp
[12:17] {mcobit} % xset fp+ /usr/local/share/lib/X11/fonts/European
[12:17] {mcobit} % xset fp+ /usr/openwin/lib/X11/fonts/F3
[12:17] {mcobit} % xset fp+ /usr/dt/config/xfonts
[12:17] {mcobit} % xset fp rehash

you should try these before starting xterm

Thanks sebt3,

I used:

xset +fp /path/to/fontdir

xlsfonts

xterm -fn name_from_xlsfonts_list

The warning remains but I get access to the fonts now.

I compiled Aterm and it does not error.
