  1. Worth picking up a Playstation TV?

Now I'd consider this too, on the strength that it's cheap and mainly because you say you can play Vita games on it. I don't have a Vita, but, I did d/l quite a few Vita games from my PS4 via the free games you get each month as part of your Playstation Plus subscription ... I always d/l all the PS4, PS3 and Vita games, as figured I'd probably pick up a Vita one day in the future and I'll then have some games in my digital library already.   But, I'm sure that as of just last month, I noticed that I could only see the PS4 free games to d/l. As if Sony have now applied filter, to only show the games available for the system you're browsing the PSN on. ...Anyone know if that is correct, or was I wrong? Sure that I only saw the 3 or 4 PS4 titles and no PS3 or Vita ones last month. Tomorrow is the first Tuesday of the month, so will be getting the new batch of freebies, so will take a look again   I got the Nvidia Shield TV the other day, as my media player, so I'd only pick this up just to play some PS Vita exclusives on
  2. STARFORCE PI - Portable Tabletop Arcade

Yeah I remember your Coleco Pacman build, was high standard, as are all the projects I seen of yours, I envy your modding skills.   I also love the shell, didn't actually know that was a Grandstand game, I just thought was based on those type games, I have the Firefox F7 which is my fav of those old systems [from the ones I played anyway]. ...Has a Stormtrooper look to it which I like.   I backed the Tiny Arcade too, looking nice eh. There was a video released a while back of it, I guess a prototype, showing LED marquee too, which is missing from the one being put out on KS, but still a nice thing to have

  4. STARFORCE PI - Portable Tabletop Arcade

Yeah the portability side of things for me wouldn't be like a Pandora ... this would just be moved around from room to room, or more likely from my work desk to the cafe across the carpark which I go to every day at lunch Have a little rinse whilst I wait for my bangers and mash to get cooked
  5. Amiga Racer

That does look nice, like an old classic arcade racer ... After watching that I fancy a little play on RoadBlasters
  6. I'm on this, and really hoping it reaches the target goal.   Full sized microswitch joystick, with options to have it fitted with a Sanwa, and you can apparently easily unclip the casing to use the stick you wish and 24mm buttons you prefer. 5 hours of untethered gameplay with the rechargeable battery. Really nice looking form factor imo. HDMI output.   As the name makes obvious, it's running a Pi, and can back for either the kit or a complete system with a Pi bundled in. PiPlay and EmulationStation will be supported, and they're looking to introduce an SD based game system for newer titles, with NG:Dev Team on board and hopefully others will be too.   I think it looks really nice, a solid little machine to have on the worktop/coffee-table.   Anyone else got their eye/money on it?   I had concerns that the timing of the KS launch was not perhaps ideal, with a lot of people needing to spend the money they get paid this month on Christmas stuffs and the loooong January pay stretch. But from what the guy has said, it's looking likely that the project will go ahead regardless, which is good to hear.   Here's a nice little demo   And more info/videos on the KS page https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/34683765/the-starforce-pi-electronic-tabletop-mini-arcade
  7. Pi Zero - the $5 computer

      £5.99 cover price mate
  8. Pi Zero - the $5 computer

Yeah I used the Pi 1 image and it boots OK.  Get the RetroPie boot screen and prompts to connect control pad ... but I can't find my USB female to USB Micro adapter so can't hook up my control pad...doh! Just went shop to get one but they don't have so I will get tomorrow. But someone on the RetroPie forum has confirmed that it all runs fine and just like does on his Pi B board... so that's good news eh
  9. New Boards - Help me out :)

Also ... the gamification of forum ... trophies?! urgh! Now I'm going to be trying to earn all those and "complete Pyra Forums"   ED I just noted the pagination on the new boards, could you switch the link text colour easily enough? It remains #8f6c3f even on hover, which isn't very readable against the blue background hover colour of the pagination buttons
  10. New Boards - Help me out :)

@EvilDragon I just tested the resend password link from the new forum, and although it worked, there is a little issue with the wording I think.     On both the confirmation of reset mail sent page, and also the actual email that is sent ... the wording is 'Official Pyra and Pyra Site'... Which I guess should read Pyra and Pandora site?
  11. Introduce yourself

Hello @Agricola and @Plume, welcome!   And hello to ⇧⇧⇩⇩⇦⇨⇦⇨ⒷⒶ who I noticed is the featured Newest Member right now on the main page ... you have probably got the best name going
  12. Pi Zero - the $5 computer

I bought one today, with the MagPi magazine Going to get RetroPie onto it later but not sure which version image to put on the microSD, as they provide one for the Pi 1 and another for the Pi 2.  Not sure which the Pi Zero would need to use. I posted on the forum there so hopefully will have a reply by this evening so I can give it a try
  13. In UK ... hit up Amazon via this link for £117 with the remote and controller http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B015R3S1GE?tag=hotukdealsev-21 But showing very limited stock remaining
  14. Merry Christmas, everybody!

I'd say niche Certainly my mate whose party it is wouldn't know him, and I'd hazard a guess nobody else who's going would either. But when I read that, he then made me think of Dick Dastardly, who I think could be a good outfit and certainly a recognisable character ... hmm ... perhaps
  15. Merry Christmas, everybody!
